(CYC) offers Traditional Hatha Yoga classes for children
and adults of every age in and around the Sonoma, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, and Santa Rosa areas. We offer
classes in our location as well as on site in community
schools, or at your location.
Yoga is over 4000 years
old and addresses the many challenges associated with a busy lifestyle. Yoga is a tool towards healthier living. It is an honor to share the teachings. Among the many health benefits of Yoga reducing stress is on the top of the list.
Yoga is more than
just physical exercise. Yoga is a non-competitive exercise that
incorporates breathing exercises as well as diet and emotions for good
health. What we think and how we behave is also an important part
of Yoga. Yoga helps
the whole person. With Yoga, you regain your strength and vitality.
It helps children by giving them tools they need to become healthy
individuals with good habits and healthy lifestyles. The right tools makes the job easier.
Our goal is to teach
Yoga to as many children as possible. and the many health benefits to children of all ages and backgrounds
by offering these valuable Yoga programs. We have a special
interest in teaching Yoga to at-risk youths and under served communities.
Our vision is to create and inspire Yoga Programs everywhere.

Yoga Center founder, Rochelle Hanlon, is a graduate of the Integral
Yoga Institute in San Francisco. She was born in Buffalo, New
York and moved to California in 1977 and has been a
part of the Sonoma Valley Community for the last twenty eight years.
As a holistic body~worker for 20 years, Yoga was the next
logical step. In 1995 Rochelle (Shelly) first started her studies of the
subtle Yoga practices at the Sonoma
Rochelle is Certified
to teach beginner and intermediate Yoga for people of all ages. Currently She is in an internship program at the BORP fitness Center in Berkely Ca. She
ihas also studied Healing Yoga for people with special
needs and Raja Yoga the study of self and the philosophy of Yoga,training her favorite was Childrens Yoga, with Madhuri Flynn at Integral
Yoga Institute in San Francisco.
Teaching Yoga to children
is her passion.
Rochelle is available for private and group classes
at your location. Rochelle introduced Yoga to the Boys and Girls Club in Sonoma and brought Yoga to 100's of children for three and a half years in the after-school
enrichment program. Boys
